Proposals
In August, I attended the baptism of Randy’s son. In the reception, we ate chopsuey, fish fillet and beef stew. It went well and the scene of a happy family was inviting.
I remember when my friend was asking me to join her during one of her bestfriends’ wedding, I silently rejected her offer. I knew it was an awful idea to be in that reception hall while my brother was ailing and surviving his wounds.
I told her the truth, I didn’t know what to do after that tragic dawn when my brother was shot six times. Not only that I need to talk to those mindless policemen and the surgeons waiting for my decisions in the midst of all those events mixed up with emotions. I felt a sudden gasp. I was planning then to make a marriage proposal to her. Even if my mind was jolted with too much depression, I wanted to ask her hand in marriage but she stopped me and asked me out the house.
